About

This website (or more precisely this blog, since I still live in 2008) was created in order to share random analyses and thoughts about my topics of interest. The coverage of the articles may thus lack consistency, but I will try my best to make it worth a read in all cases.

The title of this blog is a reference to the history of economics, which was nicknamed “the dismal science” in the 19th century by proponents of slavery1Carlyle, Thomas (1849). “Occasional Discourse on the Negro Question”, Fraser’s Magazine for Town and Country, Vol. XL because of the insistence of the discipline to condemn this institution (I guess it makes all of us hardline supporters of gloom, welcome onboard!).

I try to review the information carefully before publishing it, but errors and differences of interpretation may subsist. All (constructive) comments and suggestions are welcomed.
